Credential Renewals

Each year, ministers are required to renew their credentials. Credentials are renewed by completing the renewal form online or the paper version mailed to each minister in the fall. Forms must be completed and returned by December 31.

Failure to complete the renewal process by December 31 will result in a $50 late fee. After January 15, you will need to complete the reinstatement process ($150 fee, application, and interview required).

In order to renew credentials, a minister's dues must be current with the National Leadership & Resource Center and with the Iowa Ministry Network. More information regarding dues is available below.

Credential renewal information is provided by the National Leadership & Resource Center and is available now.

Financial responsibility

If you have ministerial income the tithe off of that income should be sent to the Iowa Ministry Network (IMN) office and your minimum dues should be sent to the National Leadership & Resource Center (NLRC) in Springfield, MO (monthly).

If you have no ministerial income then you would be required to pay the  minimums listed below. (The minimum monthly dues can be deducted from the monthly tithe amount going to your home church, thus not increasing your “out of pocket” expense.)

Minimums if you do not have ministerial income:

  • CREDENTIALED MINISTER - $10 monthly to NLRC & $5 monthly to IMN
  • LICENSED - $20 monthly to NLRC & $5 monthly to IMN
  • ORDAINED - $25 monthly to NLRC & $10 monthly to IMN

Payment to the NLRC can be set up online and your payment to IMN can be set up as a recurring payment through your bank or a check can be mailed in or dropped off monthly. You will receive a statement monthly form both IMN and the NLRC.

You are required to renew your credentials annually. Credentials can only be renewed if your financial responsibilities have been met.
